He does exist and people know it, though some deny it. Such people have life that never ends John Blessedness is to be found in forgiveness, atonement, imputation, repentance, and fifthly conviction. Submit to the will of God, surrender and give Him your whole life. To be blessed of God means that the anchor of your soul is in the grip of the Almighty. It was the unfolding of the vision which had been sealed.

Holy deeds know no death-bed, no grave, no corruption. Check the Archives! As in the material skies, 'one star differs from another star in glory,' so will believers have their different spheres assigned them in the firmament of eternity—some describing a nearer, some a more distant orbit relative to the great central throne. The words "from henceforth" form a difficulty; the reason for their introduction is to be found in the state of trouble which the last verses describe: the righteous are happy in being taken away from the evil to come. But now the time is at hand!

I'm asking you to think about this tonight: the guilt that is on you as a sinner without Christ, you're condemned, you're on your way to hell. David was guilty of murder, adultery, lying, deceit, covetousness. We live in the atmosphere of our own actions, and if we have lived to God and to Christ, the work tells upon ourselves, more than upon all besides; and the spirit that prompted it is in us a well of water springing up into everlasting life! I want to speak to you this evening from this Psalm on 'The Nature and Attainment of Blessedness', or to put it into modern day language: what blessedness is, and how to get it.

Blessedness of the dead who die in the Lord book

Forgiveness gives you blessedness. The answer is, "They rest from their labours, and their works do follow them. But I'll be applying it to those who are without Christ this evening, but I'm sure everyone, hopefully, will get a blessing from the great eternal truths that are within this Psalm of David.

Blessings lie just around the corner; and it wont be long before we'll see them. No sign, no look of affection can be returned as we wave the tearful adieu. Do not call the sacred spot where his ashes lie—do not call regarding him, "the land of forgetfulness.

Not the altar-fire only is quenched, but the shrine itself must be demolished. But it was by no means restricted to such. Folks often say that someone who has died "has gone to a happier place" - even if they had no interest in a relationship with Jesus Christ whatsoever.

If you are in Christ, then you can give yourself confidently over to serve Him; knowing that there are sure and certain blessings that will follow.

Had you been in company with the Apostle John, you would have said, Here is heaven begun! The word for that is the word 'atonement', that's what it literally means 'to cover over'. Then I saw another angle flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth - to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people - saying with a loud voice, "Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.

First, it's a "rest. Let every man therefore obey the gospel of Christ, and remain faithful to the doctrine of Christ and his apostles.

In the later years of his ministry he seldom served at a convention or visited an ecclesia without arrangements being made for a public meeting in addition to his service on behalf of the friends. But the great transaction is that as the account has been given to Him of your sin, His account of righteousness that He lived before God all of His life, His eternal righteousness as the Son of God, is attributed to you by faith.

The apostle Paul, at the end of his hard labors and when you think about it, could anyone up to this time have been under harder labors for the gospel than Paul?

Our Father, we pray this evening that men and women and boys and girls will take up the free offer of the Gospel. The sins that I have committed and the punishment that I deserve, I freely admit that it should all be mine' - and you don't hide anything, for God knows, you can't hide from God!

Like Zaccaheus who was a thief and a pilferer as a taxman - he, after his conversion, said that he was going to restore fourfold all that he had stolen.

Blessed are you when others revile you, make fun of you, kick you, exclude you, insult you, slander you because you bear the name of Christ. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.

We're just told from where it is that the voice speaks; and that's enough. What on earth or what in heaven? But what a joy to proclaim tonight the Gospel of God's forgiveness: 'Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven'.

How can any of us be satisfied till we seek and obtain, through union to Christ, the comfortable hope that we are in the Lord, and that through His grace, our works, with all their failures and shortcomings, are so wrought in Him as to leave a memorial of the right kind behind!

Much of the blessedness of heaven will arise from these disclosures, and from the endless bonds which they shall seal! You'll also notice that this voice commands John to "write" these things.

Verses 3 and 4, David says concerning his sin: 'When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long. The year A. On his way he feels through guilt and conscience the burden of his sin on his back, and the whole message of the story is really following this man to a place where he can get rid of this burden, and eventually then enter into heaven. For this morning as we think about the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and our own hope of eternal life, I want you to open your Bible to the 14th chapter of Revelation, the book of Revelation.

“Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.” Revelation Most people fear what will happen to them when they die.

Adherents of Eastern religions have good reasons to fear death. Ministration at the Time of Death. When a person is near death, the Minister of the Congregation should be and everlasting blessedness, We beseech you to hear us, good Lord.
