Parish registers online Many of our parish registers have been microfilmed by the Church of the Latter Day Saints, and low resolution, black and white images produced from these microfilms can be viewed by signing up for a free account on the FamilySearch website. In some cases early parish registers have not survived, but Bishop's Transcripts may be available, usually with substantial gaps - it is always worth looking for both. The Church is a perpetual curacy, dedicated to St. Each contains the complete transcript. For example, the volumes in a parish register may be divided between several transcribers and these may not be completed at the same time; this may result in gaps in the coverage for a particular parish.
